This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.
We do not want to collect any information about insured parties but it's impossible to process insurance documents without being exposed to it. We take care to avoid extracting it from document content and to remove the documents as soon as they are no longer needed.
Users directly provide SureDocs with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
We understand that SureDocs will process documents that contain information that is private to your customers and also personally identifiable information of your staff (e.g. names).
SureDocs is a paid product; there will be no advertising nor selling of your data to 3rd parties. You are not the product. Your customers are not the product.
SureDocs collects your data so that we can:
SureDocs staff will never share your data with a 3rd party except as required for business operations (e.g. sending an email to you via an email-sending service) or if compelled to do so by law.
SureDocs securely stores your data in Google's Firebase.
All data is encrypted at rest by Firebase and we also encrypt in transit. Unencrypted data will be visible to you, as an individual user, in and stored in your browser; it is limited to what you can see for yourself on your screen plus closely related information.
Passwords and access tokens are stored as either doubly encrypted or hashed so that SureDocs staff are unable to accidentally or involuntarily view them. In the case of hashing it is impossible to compute and view the original.
SureDocs will keep data of different types for different periods of time:
Auto-deletion policies ensure that all document content from insurers and its derived data is eventually deleted without any need for manual action.
We instruct our hosting provider to process and keep our data on servers located in the Republic of Ireland where possible and within the EU in other cases.
When you view data in a client such as your web browser then it physically exists on the computer where you have chosen to run that program. Similarly, SureDocs staff will view information on their computers with the purposes of providing and enhancing the services that you receive, and the location of staff is habitually but not limited to the Republic of Ireland.
